I've just finished reading Nausea. It made a lot of sense, in a way. I imagine the Nausea feeling is exactly what Douglas Adams describes as occurring in the Total Perspective Vortex. It makes the absurd world of Hitchhikers looks like a rational retreat from the sheer horror of reality.

Douglas: That's all very well, but do you really think that writing me into your LJ post is going to bring me back?
