Unsurprisingly, I ripped all my CDs years ago, but eventually fell into a habit of only listening to the same few dozen albums over and over. Going through them all again by hand (literally) was a really pleasurable experience, bringing back memories from 10-15 years ago of student living and my early days at Sony, working 100 hour weeks and sleeping in the office during crunch.
Anyway, I ended up working mostly to a background of Japanese indie rock today, with the dog curled up beside me on the sofa. A pretty good start to the week.
