I've been using Google+ for just over a year. I love using it and learn a lot from it. The interactions on my posts are often spectacular and challenging, the people who use it are intelligent, skeptical, open minded, opinionated and stimulating. The stuff that's posted by the people in my circle is for ever opening up my limited world view.
And yet I'm still hearing elsewhere, 'oh, no one uses Google+, it's like totally dead.' I've decided that's fine, I no longer challenge such nonsense claims. There clearly is a strong and vibrant community developing here and I'm happy.
It has taken 5 years for me to have 96,000 followers on Twitter, and just over a year to have 100,000 circle me on Google+. I know that doesn't mean diddly-squit in the grand scheme of things but it makes a late middle aged man quite happy.

The new series is great, except there's no Holly!
