They have had worse air-burst meteors.  Kinda jelous and would happily replace all my windows to witness such a very rare event  (though I do keep a couple always open so I don't think air pressure shock waves would be as impacting for me but I don't like in such a cold area)

Scary how the loud bang was so delayed after the trail. If I'd been there I would have recognized the trail as a meteorite immediately but been terrified and baffled by the explosion sound that followed and shook everything and broke all the windows.

Oh I'm sure you would of instantly realised it had broken up and air bursted, more so given the many video's show two trails and with that it had already broken into two.  The sound/explosion varies in many videos and the further away the more distinctive the airburst BANG-BAaaaaang is from the initial explosion hitting the ground and permuating.  Some are closer than others and dont get that effect as much though you do hear more fragmentation explosions.

Still nice video's and news for a change involving explosions.

I would suspect if you was unaware and not seen it before the explosion and just got the explosion you would be more shocked, like being woken up in the middle of the night by a large crack of thunder.
