Just now on BBC2 in the UK: a fantastic dramatisation of Feynman's investigation of the Challenger disaster: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00zstkn
Challenger always reminds me of the heart-wrenching ending to Koyaanisqatsi, shown here. The Philip Glass track is called 'Prophecies' - which is fascinating given that the film came out four years before Challenger happened.

Really good. The hints (cold carburator, capillaries losing flexibility in the cold) were awesome. (Fictional though, I think.)

I think Koyaanisqatsi is absent from my Philip Glass collection; I'll definitely have to do something about that now! Oh, and it goes without saying, I thought the documentary was awesome. :-)

+L Nieto "The final sequence shows footage of a rocket lifting off, only to end up exploding after a few seconds (Editing suggest that there is only one rocket, while in fact two different events were used: The first batch of footage shows a Saturn V lifting off, followed by footage of the May 1962 explosion of the first Atlas-Centaur.)" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koyaanisqatsi
