The more I learn about reaction-diffusion, the most interesting it becomes to go and look at animals. These are some photos from Edinbugh Zoo at the weekend. Just look at how the patterns are different in different parts of the body. And how symmetrical on the face but less so elsewhere. And why do the tummies always get simpler patterns?
