Miller and Fredkin_s Salt cellular auto
Miller and Fredkin's Salt cellular automaton, running in 2D. Here implemented in Ready as a 4-state CA with the radius-3 Moore neighborhood.
It shows some interesting features. Strands of different lengths can travel forwards at different speeds. Strings with clamped ends can vibrate at different frequencies.
