If you already have a Lego Mindstorms set then it plugs straight in. Otherwise you can order individual motors and sensors from lego.com. Then all you need is a battery and some RJ12 NXT cables, which you can find from various places. For example in the UK: http://www.active-robots.com/flexi-cables-for-nxt-20cm-3-pack.html
