Playing with some projects in my node based reaction diffusion application, ReDiLab: Node (http://flexmonkey.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/ReDiLab%3ANode). In this example, a mutually catalytic system consisting of a FitzHugh--Nagumo and a Gray Scott instance (which is the source of the rendering) a driven by a separate FitzHugh--Nagumo instance. The final result shows shows large blue (the Gray Scott 'v' species) liquescent blobs appearing and disappearing while smaller spots pop into existence and mitose to fill the space left by their larger siblings as they change shape. The output has been post produced in After Effects to add the embossing effect and film grain. This preset scene will be part of the next release of ReDiLab: Node
