There's no physics here, although it is rendered to look like a 3D surface. Just chemical levels changing and interacting.

I've added two new models to ReDiLab: Node (http://flexmonkey.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/ReDiLab%3ANode) - a cubic coupled Gray Scott and a cubic coupled FitzHugh-Nagumo. These work differently to the existing catalytic parameter coupling by adding a cubic term to their equations. Here's a quick output of one of the demo preset projects bundled with the application. I've got a few bugs to fix and plan to release the new version mid February 2014.
