Today I learned: the lens in the human eye doesn't just work by being a curved shape, it also has a variable index of refraction - the material is more refractive in the center and less refractive on the edge. This amplifies the lens effect.

It's certainly got plenty of chromatic aberration, as is clear to anyone who's tried to focus on a blue neon sign at night, or looked at clouds through blue-blocker sunglasses by day.
